About Columbia Attorney Ray Lord — Former Police Officer, Prosecutor

Founding attorney Ray Lord established the firm several years ago.

Prior to becoming a lawyer, Ray — graduating first in his class from the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy — studied federal, state and local laws, police procedures, self-defense, arrest techniques and firearms training. He later served as a deputy sheriff and investigator.

Ray later went on to obtain his law degree, with honors, from Mercer University's Walter F. George School of Law in Macon, Georgia.

Ray worked as an assistant solicitor (prosecutor) in the Solicitor's Office of the Ninth Judicial Circuit in Charleston and also served as director of the adult drug court for Charleston County.

Today, Ray works in private practice, utilizing his knowledge and knowledge of the law from multiple perspectives, to defend many individuals facing traffic violations of all types.
