South Carolina Speeding Ticket Defense Attorney

South Carolina has notoriously tough traffic laws. As a direct result, we also have some of the highest insurance rates in the nation. You need to keep in mind, though, that just because you got a speeding ticket or another traffic violation does not mean that you are guilty. You have a legal right to challenge it.

Contact an experienced traffic ticket defense lawyer at Lord Law Firm, LLC. Call (866) 603-6656 or (803) 932-6126 or e-mail us to get started on your defense.

My Declaration of Commitment to Clients

Get the Charges Dismissed or Reduced

I am attorney Ray Lord, former police officer and prosecutor from the Columbia, South Carolina, area. Because I have been on both sides of traffic matters, I have unique insight into the traffic laws, and as a result, I am usually able to get the charges against my clients reduced or dismissed. I know what the police and prosecutors look for to build a case, and I use my knowledge to build a strong case on your behalf.

Lord Law Firm, LLC, Knows How to Challenge the Evidence

Attorneys know the questions to ask and have the technical know-how to challenge issues such as the use of lasers, radar guns, speed traps and DUI checkpoints. Effective traffic violation defense attorneys like me have a solid and intelligent understanding of traffic law that we use to your benefit. I understand both the technical evidence used and how often it fails to hold up in court when knowledgeably challenged. You can be sure that I will aggressively challenge the case against you and work hard to have your speeding ticket, DUI or other moving violation reduced or dismissed outright. I also make a commitment to each client that I will exhibit the highest degree of ethical conduct in accordance with the South Carolina Rules of Professional Conduct.

It costs far more not to have an attorney than it does to have an attorney.

  • Fines can range up to thousands of dollars, depending on your offense.
  • Only 12 points on your driver's license can mean a three-month suspension.
  • Out-of-state drivers may still get points on their licenses, although the effects on your driving record and your insurance rates may be different in other jurisdictions.
  • In South Carolina, just one traffic ticket can cause your insurance rates to increase by as much as 1,000 percent.

Can you afford not to hire an experienced traffic ticket attorney?
