Drug & Alcohol Charges

Experienced Defense Against Drug and Alcohol Charges

If you have been involved in a traffic stop that resulted in arrest on DUI/DWI charges or any drug-related charges, you may potentially face significant penalties.

A conviction for a drug or alcohol crime could cost you money, your job, and even your freedom and civil rights. It is critical that you seek the counsel of a skilled attorney who knows how to defend against DUI/DWI charges. It is perhaps just as important to remember that you should not speak to the police until you have spoken to your lawyer.

Call (866) 603-6656 or (803) 932-6126 or send an e-mail to learn how Lord Law Firm, LLC, can help you defend against drug or alcohol charges in a free initial consultation.

Driving privileges in the State of South Carolina are tied to your arrest record. Due to my experience as an attorney and former prosecutor, I know how important it is to ask questions and get your attorney's advice before you speak to the police and definitely before you take any action on your own.

Police are looking for evidence to help build a case against you. This includes questioning that may result in you incriminating yourself. Because of my direct experience and knowledge of police investigation procedures and techniques, I can effectively defend you against tainted evidence, safeguard your constitutional rights and be there for you through this ordeal.

Working With Your Unique Facts

Every case is fact-sensitive. Not only will I seek to find the weaknesses in your case, I thoroughly investigate all evidence against you. I will examine the records, view the videotapes of your traffic stop and/or interrogation, and explore the possibility of other affirmative defenses. There are a number of other questions that can be asked depending on the circumstances of your case, including:

  • Was the police officer's testimony aligned with his report, or does the video show something different?
  • How did the police learn about the drugs or the alcohol?
  • Was there probable cause for your arrest?
